Prescriptions

Medamation MD makes it simple & quick to write prescriptions.  These computer-printed prescriptions are much easier to read than handwritten ones, which also saves time & eliminates confusion.  An illegible prescription can result in the wrong medication or dosage.

To write a prescription simply go to the "Treatment" tab of MD Chart, then click the "Prescriptions" drop-down list.  There are over 100 medication listed but you may add more at any time. When a medication chosen it will display standard dosages & intervals.  Change these if needed, then click "Preview Prescription".  If the screen display is correct, click "Print."  It's that quick.

Below is a sample printed prescription.  They are printed on special blue paper with a security anti-copying watermark - available from Medamation. We can also program the Rx printout to include your hospital logo, in color. 

Some printers have dual paper trays.  This allows you to load our special prescription paper in one tray and standard size sheets for charts in the other.  Contact Medamation for a list of recommended printers.
