"A picture is worth a thousand words"

Medamation MD allows you to save digital pictures, as well as other multimedia elements (video, scanned-in graphics, audio) to enhance the patient's documentation. Multimedia brings documentation to a whole new level.  We can now see exact images of things which in the past had to be described in words and then left to (mis)interpretation.  You can document the changes of an injury or illness over time.

Adding multimedia is very simple - just click the blue "+" button and choose the type (picture, video or sound).  All these multimedia elements can be viewed/played within Medamation MD, and the pictures will print out with the chart.  In addition, these multimedia elements can be emailed to other health care professionals for long-distance consultation.

A digital camera is a convenient tool for collecting high resolution color images.  Some cameras, like the Sony Mavica shown, can also capture short video segments.
