One of the most powerful features of Medamation MD is its tight integration with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, the most powerful voice recognition program on the market. Dragon compatibility was not added as an afterthought - Medamation MD was designed from the ground up to take full advantage of the powerful features of this program. We use voice recognition in two ways:

1. Voice commands
You can use voice commands to navigate around the screens, select buttons, tabs & menu choices, and move between different screens.  This can save time and is helpful if you're holding a chart or X-ray (or coffee cup).

2. Data Entry
This can be a real time saver, especially for those somewhat lacking in their typing skills.  With the proper setup and a little practice you can be entering patient data accurately, as fast as you normally talk. You don't need to speak in a slow, stilted voice - just speak clearly.  The more you use it, the more accurate it gets. Even complicated medical terms and drug names can be entered by voice.  You only have to train the software once to recognize a new word or phrase - it will remember it from then on.
